Michael is a completely self-taught filmmaker who began studying film production during his spare time in 2001 at the age of 25. He set up the website makingthefilm.com to document his journey, which now stands as the Internet’s longest running filmmaking blog. The site also serves as a one-stop shop to help and inform young filmmakers.

Since founding the site, Michael has gone on to write, direct and produce the short film, Mnemosyne (2004), which was screened numerous times on National Television in the UK. Michael has also written articles for a number of film publications, including The Raindance Film Festival. The Zombie Diaries is Michael’s first feature film.
