Mike Peel – Special Effects

Mike grew up with a love of Sci-fi and Horror films, and began creating art inspired by these from an early age. After obtaining his degree in Visual Arts at Dartington College of Arts, Mike secured his first job as a runner for Image Animation where he was able to build up good experience and contacts.

He has been heavily involved with films such as Casino Royale, Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix, V for Vendetta and The Descent. Some of his most memorable creations include: sculpting a 16ft pharaoh, building the claustrophobic caves for The Descent, and creating a burning field of undead in The Zombie Diaries.

Mike has been fortunate enough to employ his skills as an artist in Australia, Poland, Scotland and Ireland. He is currently based in Buckinghamshire where he lives with his wife and daughter.
